The ‘Kamadhenu’, ‘home’ for many newcomers and already established music directors and producers Lahari Recording Company is unhappy with the attitude of some of the music directors.


Lahari Velu lashing at some of the music directors said the NOC for producer that comes to audio company is not signed. This is causing trouble to audio companies. The balance of amount that producer should get is only after NOC from music directors. The worry was expressed by BK Srinivas producer of ‘Dove’ Kannada cinema.


Lahari Velu taking up the issue said a few in the sandalwood are taking lakhs of rupees for scoring music but when the producer needs NOC they stay behind. They have ego issue. In the international market the rules have changed. Even topnotch like AR Rahman signs NOC to producer and that helps producer from Audio companies. Why our music directors cannot understand asks Velu.


By taking NOC we are not taking their property. The asking is just what they have worked for what payment given to them. The condition what audio houses put for NOC from music director is to avoid further legal complications.


At one time 149 audio companies were found. Today it is hardly a few existing. The thought of audio companies are making heaps and bound revenue is wrong.


This issue has come before the apex body KFCC. It is advised to take NOC from music directors at the time of signing contract disclosed Velu.


Lahari Velu was speaking at ‘Dove’ pre release meet at 37 Crescent Hotel on Monday. Sa Ra Govindu, Alemari Santhu, newcomer Anoop Sara Govindu, Aditi Rao were present.
